DIY Transfer Paper

While working on another project, I needed a transfer sheet to print up a design on. After pricing them at the least expensive store I could find, (everyone's favorite Walmart), I exclaimed to myself, "$12.99!?! I only need ONE SHEET!!"
So from there, I went to my next favorite way to shop: GOOGLE! Google has never failed me yet!
After searching numerous sites and articles, I chose one that seemed pretty easy and straightforward and now, I will share my version with you (with pictures...YAY)!

First, the supplies (minus Shay the cat): Elmers Spray Adhesive, regular sheet of printer paper, wax paper (can be found in Reynolds wrap and paper plate aisle for those of you who don't bake), and a pair of scissors (preferably one that has not been at the mercy of a spouse using it for cutting wire, plastic miniatures, cardboard, etc)

First, pull out a length slightly larger than regular printer paper and using your sharp scissors, cut.

Next, spray the wax sheet you just cut with the spray adhesive. I went outside for this step to avoid having to put down a drop sheet or risk getting spray on anything else. The wax paper just needs a light coat of adhesive.

Third, line up your bottom edge of regular paper and apply as you press for firm contact. My cats, as usual, have to inspect my work.

The last step is simply to use your sharp scissors to cut off the excess wax paper.
And, DONE! You have your very own sheet of transfer paper ready for your project.
